Terms and Conditions of Hat Hire

Terms & Conditions

PLEASE READ THIS AGREEMENT CAREFULLY. IT SETS OUT THE TERMS UNDER WHICH CW HATS AND ACCESSORIES OFFERS YOU USE OF ITS HATS. BY HIRING A HAT FROM CW HATS AND ACCESSORIES YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND ACCEPT THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND THEY SHALL APPLY TO YOUR USE.

This Agreement is made between you and CW Hats and Accessories whose registered office is 12 Antelope Walk, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 1BE.

The following terms and conditions apply:

  1. HIRE TERMS (CONDITIONS OF HIRE)

1.1

The hat(s) always remain the property of CW Hats and Accessories.

1.2

The full hire fee of the hat is payable on reservation.

Hats are hired per occasion. Hire periods usually last seven days.

Once a hat has been taken for hire it is considered a hire even if not worn and there will be no refund.

1.5

CW Hats and Accessories will not be liable for any delay or failure to deliver due to circumstances which are out of its control; or for any damage or injury caused by the misuse of the Company’s property.

1.7

The liabilities of the hirer commence at the time the hired hat(s) are collected from our premises and continue until they are returned to the premises of CW Hats and Accessories.

1.8

Cancellation policy: The full hire fee will be refunded for cancellations made 14 days before the hire date. The full hire fee will be retained for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the hire date.

  1. BILLING

2.3

If your hat is not returned on the due return date agreed when the purchase was made, CW Hats and Accessories will charge you for each overdue day at £20 per day until a return date has been agreed by the customer and CW Hats and Accessories are notified by the courier company.

2.4

CW Hats and Accessories may modify the price, content, or nature of the Service at any time. We may provide notice of any such changes by email, or by publishing them on the Site.

2.5

Damage to property: If damage exceeds normal wear and tear, as determined by CW Hats and Accessories in its sole discretion, you agree that CW Hats and Accessories may charge you for the full cost of replacing the hat as well as charge you the full amount of any lost earnings or incurred costs resulting from the damage. The product replacement fee will be the full deposit that was paid at the time of hiring the hat.

Customers are required to check their order carefully and ensure it’s in the correct condition before leaving CW Hats and Accessories premises with the goods.

 

 

 

 

  1. HAT CARE AND HIRE RESPONSIBILITY

3.1

Weather is the enemy of the hat and although we appreciate it is beyond control, please care for the hired hat in the rain as you would if it was your own. Keep it under an umbrella at all times when it is raining and be aware of certain fabrics and features of hats being more susceptible to weather damage in bad conditions. CW Hats and Accessories reserves the right to retain the full deposit if the item is returned marked or damaged in any way. This includes but is not limited to holes, dents, stains and rain marks.

3.2

Under no circumstances are customers to attempt to clean any hats themselves by any means. If done so, CW Hats and Accessories reserves the right to invoice for part or full replacement value of the items and charge you the full amount of any potential lost earnings or incurred costs regardless of whether any damage has been caused. The product replacement fee will be the full deposit that was paid at the time of hiring the hat.

3.3

If the hat is damaged beyond repair, lost or stolen then the full purchase price would be paid by the hirer. The replacement cost will be the full deposit that was paid at the time of hiring the hat

Should a previous hirer not return a hat you have booked to hire or it is damaged, CW Hats and Accessories will endeavour to find a good and suitable replacement. A direct replica style and colour cannot be guaranteed. Liability is limited to the return of the hire charge if a suitable alternative is not available.
If returning hats by post/courier hats must be posted securely and insured to the value of the hat, please do not tape directly to the hat box and use a tracked service.

3.6

All original hat boxes must be returned with the hat hired. Customer will be liable to a £20 charge to cover the cost of replacing any hat boxes not returned.

  1. PRIVACY POLICY

4.1

This privacy policy sets out how CW Hats and Accessories uses and protects any information that you give CW Hats and Accessories when you use this website or hire a hat from CW Hats and Accessories. CW Hats and Accessories is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. You can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

CW Hats and Accessories collects personal information when you place an order. By registering, you are consenting to the collection of your personal data. If an order is placed we need to hold personal information, including your name, email address, phone number, home address, shipping and credit / debit card billing addresses so that we can process and fulfil your order.  Saved card details will never be shared with third parties. 

4.2

Saved card details will never be shared with third parties and will only be used to process your order, using our payment partner’s systems. Sometimes we may ask for your telephone number. This number may be given to our courier for delivery services. These details allow us to process your order and to let you know the status of your order.

CW Hats and Accessories may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 9th July 2020.

If an order is placed with us, we need to hold personal information including your name, email address, phone numbers, home address, shipping and credit/debit card billing address(es) so that we can process and fulfil your order.

4.4.1     We may use the information to improve our products and services.

4.4.2     We may periodically send promotional emails about new hats, products and services, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided.

4.4.3     From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by mail, email, or phone.
